  கல்வியின் ஊடாக அனைத்தையும் பெற்றுக் கொள்ள முடியும். கல்வியானது சகல மாற்றங்களுக்கும் காரணமாக அமைகின்றது. இந்த வகையில் படிப்படியாக முன்னேற்றமடைந்து வந்த கல்வியின் ஊடாக நாட்டினை மாற்றியைமக்க முடியும் என்பதன் அடிப்படையிலையே ஒவ்வொரு நாட்டிலும் அதன் தேசிய இலக்கினை அடைவதற்கான அடிப்படைகள் கலைத்திட்டத்தின் ஊடாக பாடசாலையில் இடம்பெறுகின்றன. இதன் ஊடாக பாடசாலையின் இலக்கு அடையப்பட்டு அதனைத் தொடர்ந்து தேசிய இலக்கு அடையப்படுகிறது. இந்த வகையில், கலைத்திட்ட இலக்கு, பாடசாலையின் இலக்கு, தேசிய இலக்கு என்பவற்றை தெளிவாக விளங்கிக் கொள்ள வேண்டும். முதலில் கலைத்திட்டம் (Curriculum) பற்றி அறிந்து கொள்ள வேண்டும். அதனைக் கீழே விரிவாக நோக்குவோம். Curriculum என்ற ஆங்கிலப் பதத்துக்கு ஈடாக பல தமிழ் பதங்கள் பயன்படுத்தப்படுகின்றன. உதாரணமாக, கல்வித் திட்டம், கல்வி ஏற்பாடு, பாட ஏற்பாடு, பாடவிதானம், கலைத்திட்டம் என்பன அவற்றுள் சிலவாகும். எமது நாட்டில் கலைத்திட்டம், பாடவிதானம் எனும் சொற்களே பரவலாகப் பயன்படுத்தப்படுகின்றன.
